How To Wash Your Car?

How To Wash Your Car?
Automotive Paints are sensitive to scratching, especially during the washing. When washing, it is important to use quality Shampoo, accessories and proper technique:

ACCESSORIES AND SHAMPOO

  • Ph Balanced Car Wash Shampoo
  • Wash Mitt

  • Microfiber Towel (3nos - Wet Wipe, Dry Wipe, Glass)
  • Drying Towel (Optional)

Ph Balanced Car Wash Shampoo
We recommends using a pH balanced 3M Auto Speciality Car Wash Shampoo solution to quickly loosened the dirt and grime without removing the wax protection.

Wash Mitt
We recommends using a Meguiar’s MicrofiberWash Mitt. It is designed to lift & trap grime away from the surface to help prevent scratching.

Microfiber Towel
For drying, We recommends using a microfiber drying specific towel like 3M Auto Speciality Cloth or Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfiber Towels.
These towels are great all-purpose microfiber towels for a variety of uses such as drying water, removing compound, polish, wax, various interiors applications and cleaning glass.

For quick drying, We recommends using a Meguiar’s Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel. It is made specific for drying much quicker & easier.

TECHNIQUE - TWO BUCKET WASH METHOD

The two bucket wash method consists of two buckets, one with your car wash shampoo, and the other with water.

The water bucket is used to rinse out your wash mitt. The wash mitt should be rinsed before retrieving more car wash shampoo. This releases any dirt & grime on your wash mitt into the water bucket, instead of into your clean car wash.

The two bucket wash method reduces the chance of the dirt & grime you are removing off the vehicle, from getting back up onto the vehicle.

Using this technique will work to reduce the chance of inflicting swirls & scratches into the paint.

THE DO'S AND DON'TS OF WASHING YOUR CAR

DON’T wear clothes with lots of zippers, buttons, and metal add-ons; if ever they made contact on your car’s surface while you are cleaning, you will end up creating scratches and destroying the paint.

DON’T wash your car in direct sunlight or when the finish is hot. High temperatures cause liquids to dry quickly, leaving spots and mineral deposits on the paint.

DON’T reuse wheel and tire cleaning tools on the vehicle exterior. They’ve likely picked up dirt particles that could scratch your vehicle’s paint.

DON’T use the same cloth or tools you use for cleaning the tires or any other part of the car. Since these accumulate a lot of dust particles, you risk getting your car dirty again.

DON’T let anything touch the ground. The small particles of dirt and grime it picked up after being in contact with the ground mean it’s guaranteed to scratch and spiderweb your paint.

DO start by cleaning the wheels and tires, then rinse one section of the body at a time, working from the top down. Use a back-and-forth motion rather than rubbing in circles, which can leave swirl marks.

DON'T use dish washing detergent to wash the car as it can strip your wax protection.

DO wash once a week. Any duration beyond one week & your vehicle is much more subject to bonded contaminants, which will not to be removed by wash.

A dirty car is a dirty shame. A clean car shows your best personality.
